Our mission is to provide youth with the opportunity to expand their equine knowledge, enhance their horsemanship skills and make new friends.

The mentor program is open to young ladies and gentlemen ages 16-20 years old. The program is fast paced, hard work, and will enhance your leadership skills.  Mentor application forms will be accepted until February 1st. The EIHPC Board of Directors will meet and review the submitted applications. You will be notified of your application status by March 1st. 

Mentor responsibilities:

  • Assist campers with saddling, bridling, feeding, watering, washing, and grooming their horses. Aid in cleaning their stalls. Also, assist in E-cademys, serving camp meals, snack bar, and evening activities when needed.
  • Assist the arena instructors during lessons and electives.  Help with preparation of the end of the week camper progress reports. 

If accepted into the EIHPC mentoring program, the mentors may bring a horse to camp for the week. The mentor will be responible for all of the supplies for their horse. The camp will provide a stall for their horse.
